Ratings for the Marina Mandarin Singapore Hotel has been upgraded to Crescentrating 5 in view of their recent Halal certification award for all its food stations, including its central kitchen at their renowned restaurant, AquaMarine.

The Marina Mandarin Hotel, a 5-star luxury hotel located in the heart of the Marina Bay area, has recently received Halal certification for all the food stations including the central kitchen of AquaMarine from the Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS).

“We are extremely proud to be the first hotel in the Marina Bay/Suntec areas to have a Halal-certified restaurant,” said Kurt O. Wehinger, General Manager, Marina Mandarin Singapore. “We recognized the importance of providing services and facilities that meet the needs of our Muslim and Halal-conscious guests.”

“Being presented with the Halal certification, along with the Crescentrating of 5, these have reaffirmed our commitment to continue to do so” he added. He said the MUIS Halal certification for AquaMarine’s food stations and kitchen comes in at a great time within Ramadhan, with the AquaMarine now able to cater for Ifthar or the breaking of fast for Muslims.

In celebration of AquaMarine’s Halal certification for its food stations, they have flown in celebrity chefs from Indonesia to present authentic Indonesian cuisine from July 31st to August 29th. As for the rest of the year, their promotions include the South East Asia Buffet (October 17th to November 20th) and the F1 Buffet Theme Dinner from September 16th to September 25th.

Providing Halal meals will increase the hotel’s appeal drastically to Muslim travelers who are visiting Singapore.”

The Singapore-based “Crescentrating” is a rating system that focuses on the Halal-friendly travel market segment worldwide. Establishments are Crescentrated on a scale of one to seven based on the services and facilities they provide to Muslim travelers.
