Moscow Halal Expo all set to showcase Halal in Russia

The Russian Mufties Council will be organising the second International Halal Exhibition or Moscow Halal Expo 2011 next week from May 26-28, 2011.

To be held at the largest International Exhibition Centre of Russia or Crocus Expo, the Moscow Halal Expo 2011 will showcase local and international exhibitors within a myriad of spheres that do not contradict with the norms of Islam.

The organising committee of Russia Mufties Council extends a warm welcome to all participants and visitors of the Moscow Halal Expo 2011.

“The Moscow Halal Expo 2011 is an excellent opportunity for the Russian and foreign producers and businessmen to present themselves on an international level, to share experience and to establish useful business contacts,” said Rishad Allaberdiyev, CEO of Moscow International Halal Exhibition.

Another uniqueness of Moscow Halal Expo is that it is of interest to foreign countries, especially for the members of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC).

“Russia is a strategic region for developing trade and financial relations, and with the development of Halal industry it presents an open platform for the interaction with Islamic states,” added Rishad.

Among those exhibiting will be Russian and foreign producers of Halal food products, including meat, poultry and diary, bakery and confectionery, ingredients, dried fruit and fast food, as well as medical supplies, clothes, perfumery and cosmetics, even production equipment.

Also exhibiting will be service-oriented companies in tourism, finance, banking, investments, publishing and others that fulfills the requirements of having a Halal certification or are declared and verified to be Halal.

Running concurrent to the exhibition will be numerous business programs, including conferences, presentations, discussions as well as cultural performances highlighting Islamic and Russian identities. An enterprise from the Republic of Dagestan‘s food processing industry has also been invited to participate in the exhibition.

The exhibition will be held from 11am to 7pm on May 26, and from 10am to 7pm on May 27 and 28. All visitors are advised to re-register online by filling out this form. For the latest advisory, please check out this memo from the organisers.
